Melina Fazio Moraine's Obituary
Melina Fazio Moraine was delivered into God’s hands on Tuesday morning, August 4, 2015. Melina was the middle of seven children, born in St Augustine, Florida on January 3, 1929 to John and Lucia Fazio. Melina was preceded from this life by her parents, her brother Tommy and sister Mamie and Son-in-Law David Boddison. She is survived by brothers Frank, Sam and Joe and sister Lucy, her four children Derald (Cris) Pacetti, John (Joanne) Pacetti, Malinda Boddison and Michele (Keith) Ruebeling, eight grandchildren and one great-grand-daughter.Melina was a member of a group of shrimping families who migrated from St. Augustine to Ft Myers around 1950 to pursue the rich shrimp beds of the Tortugas and the Gulf Coast.Melina spent the rest of her life as a resident of Ft Myers and pursued successful careers in banking and education over her long working life. Her first priority, however, was as a homemaker and the raising of her four children.Melina loved playing cards with friends, travel and entertaining, was a devotee of the Opera and a life-long Alpha Beta Sorority Sister.A celebration of Melina’s life will be held Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 11:30AM at the Chapel of Memories, Ft Myers Memorial Gardens, 1589 Colonial Blvd followed by a light lunch reception at the home of Malinda Boddison, 1373 Osceola Dr, Ft Myers FL. Friends of the family are warmly welcomed.
