Meloni "Joy" Hart Wilson's Obituary
Joy Hart Wilson passed away Saturday, December 28, 2019. Born in Fort Myers on April 24, 1953, Joy was the middle child of Thomas Hilton Hart and Joyce Presley Hart.
Joy graduated from Fort Myers High School in 1971. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in 1975from Texas Christian University and later became a Registered Nurse. In retirement Joy greatly enjoyed visiting with her extended family and her many friends whom she visited with daily by phone or in person.
Joy was a devoted Mother to sons Edgar “Trey” Wilson III, his wife Vonna, and son, John Patrick “Pat” Wilson and a loving grandmother to her grandchildren, Vari, Javion, Trevion. Jovianne.
Joy also leaves to cherish her memory her sister, Jon Anne Hart; brother Tom Hart and wife Jan; niece, Jena Hart and nephews Lee Hart and Trent Hart; her former husband Edgar Wilson II; and the extended Hart, Wilson and Clemons families.
Joy’s life will be celebrated on Monday, January 6, 2020, in the Chapel of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907. Tel. No. 239 936-0555. Visitation will commence at 1:00 pm., with the service at 2:00 p.m.
