Merlyn E. Wallace's Obituary
Merlyn E. Wallace, 84,of Fort Myers, Florida passed away November 23, 2013 at his residence. Mr. Wallace was born September 9, 1929 in Trinidad, Colorado, a son of the Merlyn and Mary Sandifur Wallace. Merlyn was retired from the U.S. Postal Service after 20 years of service as a rural mail carrier. He was the widow of the late Marilyn Wallace who died November 28, 2008 and was also preceded in death by three siblings. The served his country and was honorably discharged from the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Lions Club both in Indiana and Florida and had served the club at the state level. He was a 33rd Degree Mason and a Shriner. Merlyn had resided here since 1982 coming from Indiana. He leaves to cherish his memory, his sons, Michael (Marie) Wallace of Fort Myers, Florida and Mark (Andrea) Wallace of Rochester, Indiana; his grandchildren, Michael and Nicole Wallace; his siblings, Roberta Anderson of Kokomo, Indiana, Jack (Norma) Clem of Bunker Hill, Indiana and Barbara (James) Thompson of Lafayette, Indiana. A Memorial Service will be held Friday, December 6, 2013 at 4:30 PM in the chapel of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, Florida 33907.
