Michael Wayne Deterra's Obituary
Michael Wayne Deterra Sr. of Fort Myers, Florida passed away suddenly on Saturday, September 24, 2016. He was 50 years old.Michael was born on November 14, 1965 in New Bedford, Massachusetts, the proud son of Peggy (Sargent) and Paul Deterra. He was a loyal and longtime employee at Youngquist Brothers Rock Inc. in Fort Myers, Florida and was serving as the Plant Manager at the time of his passing.He leaves to cherish his loving memory his children Michael Deterra Jr. of Fort Myers, Florida; daughters Alyssa Deterra of North Augusta, South Carolina and Cassidy Deterra-Pinheiro of Fort Myers, Florida; stepchildren George Boucher Jr., Joey Pinheiro and Brittany Pinheiro all of Fort Myers, Florida; granddaughter Aubrey Deterra of North Augusta, South Carolina; his parents Paul and Peggy Deterra of New Bedford, Massachusetts; his brothers Lonnie Deterra, George Boucher and Paul Deterra Jr. all of New Bedford, Massachusetts; his sisters Christina Cote, Donna Deterra and Laura Eastman all of New Bedford, Massachusetts. He also leaves behind his caring former wives Laurie J. Settele of North Augusta, South Carolina and Claudina “Dina” Deterra of Fort Myers, Florida; a number of extended family members and many more people who were proud to know Michael and call him a friend. Sadly, he was preceded in death by his brothers Patrick Deterra and Paul Deterra III.A Memorial Service for Michael will be celebrated at 5:00 PM on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 inside the Chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555.
