Michael James Lawler's Obituary
Michael James Lawler of Fort Myers, Florida and formerly of Columbus, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2016 in Hope Hospice. He was 67. Michael was born July 14, 1948 in Columbus, Ohio to Jerome E. and Joanne E. Lawler. By trade he was a professional trim carpenter. Michael also served proudly and retired from the United States Marine Corps. He was a life member of the Disabled American Veterans, the American Legion and the N.R.A. He is preceded in death by his father, Jerome E. Lawler. Michael is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Stephanie Lawler; four children, Michael S. Lawler (Lori) of Orlando, Florida, Robert J. Lawler (Staci Pierce) of Mt. Sterling, Ohio, Eric D. Koder (Julie Cataldo) of Aurora, Colorado and Andrea L. Koder of Columbus, Ohio. Michael is also survived by his mother, Joanne E. (Lawler) Weiser; his brothers and sisters, Jerry Lawler (Bonnie), Dan Lawler (Staci), Michelle Erickson (Ron), Tom Lawler (Tammy) and Lisa Blood (Jeff). Michael was also the loving grandfather of 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Memorial services are still pending and will be announced when finalized.
