Michael E. Manierston's Obituary
Michael Edward Manierson, Age 74, died Sunday, May 15, 2022 in Cape Coral, Florida. He was born April 29th, 1948 in Eldorado, Illinois, to the late Roy and Ruby (Randolph) Manier.
Mike’s wife, Susan E. Manierston predeceased him, as did their son Geoffrey E. Manierston. He is survived by his son Jon Manier, his wife Mary and two grandchildren Daniel and Grace of Farmington, Michigan.
Mike was a member of Hope United Methodist Church in Cape Coral, Florida. He leaves behind a number of dear friends from his church.
Mike was a public school art teacher until his retirement, where he especially enjoyed teaching art to middle school students. He received his bachelor’s degree from Southern Illinois University and his master’s degree from Northern Illinois University.
For many years, Mike operated his own studio and produced a wide variety of works, while focusing on painting and drawing. He also enjoyed photography, carpentry, sports, dining, and gardening.
A memorial was held Wednesday, May 25, 2022 with a second memorial to be held in Champaign, Illinois in the near future for family that live in the Midwest.
