Michael Wayne "Smiley" Johns' Obituary
Michael Wayne “Smiley” Johns, 55, a lifelong resident of Lee County passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, May 15th, 2018 at his residence. He was born in Ft. Myers, FL on February 9th, 1963.Michael graduated from North Fort Myers High school. He was an Electrician for 37 years, and worked throughout Lee and Collier counties during his career. He was an avid Nascar fan, and loved Dale Earnhardt Senior above all. He rarely missed a Dallas Cowboy’s football game, and would root for any team playing against the Washington Redskins. He loved the outdoors, and grew up camping, hunting, and off-road four wheeling. If there was mud, he wanted to drive through it.Around the household, he loved exercising his surprisingly green-thumb and often tried to garden in any free-standing container he could find. He relished showing up to dinner with his own home-grown tomatoes and bell peppers and they never failed to satisfy. His softer sides often came out around the family pets. He would often be found lovingly carrying around a cat and quoting Tony Montana (“Say hello to my little friend!”). He was an easy-going and laid back man who enjoyed kicking his feet up and cracking open an ice-cold beer with his loved ones. He will be dearly missed by all. Right now, he is up in heaven hanging with his best buds Gary, Marty, and Tim enjoying some cold ones.He is survived by his loving wife Angela Johns of N. Ft. Myers, FL; three children, Nathan Johns of TN, Kailyn Johns of FL and Madison Johns of FL; parents, Denny and Carole Johns of GA; one brother, Norman Johns of TX; one sister, Jennifer Fox of GA; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members.A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM, Saturday, May 26th, 2018 at Ft.
