My name is Bill Denny. I grew up in Marquette Park in Chicago. The Sullivan family was our neighbors. Andy, Mickie Mary, Mike,Diane,and Stephen. It was an privilege to have them as neighbors. Mike was a Vietnam vet and went on to be a Chicago cop.Mike was a true gentleman, and a great neighbor. I will always have fond memories of Mike and the Sullivan family. May God rest your soul Mike.
My sincere condolences to the family and friends of Michael. He was the sweetest man that always spoke about his wife and would bring in banana bread and was just always so happy. Many prayers for you all.
Michael I will miss our road trips, dinners at Texas Roadhouse , Alva diner and many more. I am so sorry I was not in town when you pass. You were a good friend who will be truly missed. Charlie and I miss you so much , especially with the election about to take off. You will no longer be needed to suit up for the streets of Chicago. I pray you are with your beloved wife, Christine. Mike was my FTO when I graduated from the police academy and was assigned to the 009th District. He was a great teacher and I learned many things from his from his actions and words. Things that helped me during my 29 years as an officer. RIP Mike.
Mike and I started at the Chicago Police academy on 4 June 1973. After that we were assigned to the 3rd Police District. We worked together for several years. And then our assignments took us in different directions. We did keep in touch and I am glad that I counted him as one of my friends. Will miss the cards that he always sent out and speaking with him. Rest in Peace Mike.

Mike Sullivan was a very special friend and he will be missed. He was a kind and loving man who would do anything to help others. His dedication to the Knights of Columbus went above and beyond all expectations. He served his Lord every minute of every day. The notice of his death was devastating and totally unexpected. The blessing in all of this is that he is now with his beloved wife as he has missed her so much and often talked about looking forward to being with her again. I always enjoyed seeing Mike at our Welcome Home celebrations for our Veterans at RSW airport. He was a bright, cheery face to see at the celebrations. He certainly loved our Veterans. Thank you, Mike for all you did for our community and others around you. You will be missed. Rest in Peace.
