Lit a candle in memory of Michael Shepherd Wheeler
I am so very sad to hear about Mikes sudden passing. Mike and I met in high school in Mascoutah and remained friends for over 30 years. Mike always lit up the room. He was one of the good guys. He always came "home" to Mascoutah for the annual homecoming to see his old friends. He will really be missed.
I knew Mike while attending high school in Mascoutah, IL.He was a unique person and a great athlete. We had some memorable discussions.I lost touch with him after graduation, but was fortunate to see him again at a class reunion in 2011.I am sad to hear he is no longer with us.God bless his family and friends at this time.Mike Petrovich

Myself and my great buddy, Dave Stotland were visiting Fort Myers from Montreal. We met Mike at San Carlos Golf Club. He walked up to us and asked if he could join us. We had a great time on the course then went to the convenience store where he bought three BIG beers he called 'ST Crooked Eyes' and our friendship was sealed! We spent many hours with Mike on that trip, playing golf, enjoying beers together, helping him load his Little Debbie's truck. We called ourselves the 'three brothers.' That was in 1996 and we still value his friendship. May he rest in peaceā¦
