Michele Marie Reno's Obituary
Michele Marie Reno, 61, of Fort Myers, FL, passed away at her home with her loving wife by her side on June 19, 2024.
She was born August 6, 1962, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Elizabeth (Flannery) and Richard Reno. She graduated from Royal Oak Dondero High School and Oakland University in Michigan.
Michele served as an MP in the US Army and was proud to serve her country overseas in South Korea. While enlisted, she enjoyed playing on the Army softball team.
After her time in the service, she worked as a Sergeant in security at William Beaumont Hospital in Michigan. She was proud to be among the first women to earn the rank of Sergeant.
Michele relocated to Florida and started her career with the Florida Department of Corrections as a probation officer. After a distinguished 30-year career, she retired as a senior supervisor.
She is survived by her loving wife, Michelle Hudson. She is also survived by: Stepmother Eileen Reno; Siblings Theresa (Wayne) Peters, Lisa (David) Viada; Sister-In-Law Melissa Hudson; Mother-In-Law and Father-In Law Mary and Bob Monroe; Niece, Colleen (Shaun) Porter and Nephews Bryan (Jamie) and David; and Great Nephews, Maxwell, Andrew, Patrick, Weston and Great Niece Evie.
A private family service will be 2 p.m. on June 24, 2024, at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens.
Military honors will be performed during a graveside service at 3 p.m.
A public Celebration of Life will be held from 1-4 p.m. on Saturday, June 29, with a brief memorial ceremony at 2 p.m. The celebration will be held at Mango Rita’s, 16440 S Tamiami Trail #11, Fort Myers, FL 33908.
