Mildred "Millie" Jacobs' Obituary
Mildred ?Ç£Millie?Ç¥ Jacobs, long-time resident of Fort Myers, died Wednesday, July 10, 2013. Born in 1933 in Birmingham, AL, Mildred moved to Miami, FL in 1959 and lived there until 2002, when she moved to Fort Myers. Mildred was a strong, independent woman who loved nothing so much as making a comfortable, happy home and taking care of her family and friends. She was a diligent worker, a devoted mother, sister, daughter and friend who believed in living an upright life of sacrifice and service and did so to the best of her ability. Mildred is survived by her son, Jack Jacobs; her sister, Betty Hoffman; her nephew, John Webb and many cherished friends from the McGregor Garden Club, the Red Hat Club, Reflection Lakes Ladies Luncheon and her neighborhood. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 13, 2013 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with entombment to follow in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Friends will be received from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Gulf Coast Humane Society, www.gulfcoasthumanesociety.org.
