Minelva Alvarez Durand, of Fort Myers, passed peacefully, early Tuesday, December 20, 2022 at The Hope Hospice House in Cape Coral, Fl. Minelva was born November 14, 1955, in Gowanda, NY. The daughter of the late Luis Alvarez and Fanny (Rivera) Bermudez of Fort Myers, Fl.
Minelva grew up in Dunkirk, NY, and resided in Fort Myers, since 1988.
Minelva was predeceased by her father and sister-in-law Maria Alvarez
Besides her mother, Minelva is survived by two sons, Michael (Jody) Salgado of Gaithersburg, MD, and Matthew Mott of Fort Myers, two grandchildren Grace and Anna of Gaithersburg, MD. One sister, Carmen Dunning of North Port, Fl. Three brothers, Luis Jr. (Milagros) Alvarez of Punta Gorda, Fl, Hector Alvarez of Buffalo, New York and Ruben (Carmen) Rosas of Dunkirk, New York.
Minelva's family has entrusted Fort Myers Memorial Gardens with her final arrangements. At this time all service is private. She will be greatly missed by her family.
