Words from Monaâ??s children: Mona was remembered by me as the best Momma in the whole wide world. She was loved by everyone who ever knew her. Mona was quick to laugh and slow to anger. Our house was always the hangout when we were children because where we lived was never just a house rather it was always home to anyone who walked in the door. Mom used to walk on the beach and drag me behind her in the water, she always loved me no matter what, I never had to do anything for her to be proud of me because she was always proud of me no matter what I did or did not do; she had true unconditional love. My heart will cry until the day I die because I miss her so much but I am joyful because I know that she is in heaven with my Dad. There was no one nor will there ever be anyone again like my Momma, she was truly one of a kind. To aspire to be as kind, generous, thoughtful and loving as my Mother is a goal that all of us should strive toward, the good in her was her love for Jesus Christ and her desire to follow Him. Momâ??s heart was so tender toward Christ that when she prayed she would tear up every time. I know that her desire for everyone here today would be that each and every one of would ask Jesus Christ into your heart as your Savior and Lord. The distance between Heaven and Hell is 18 inches which is the distance between your head and your heart. If Mom were here today she would tell you that simple head knowledge of Jesus does not save you rather it is a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. One of Monaâ??s greatest qualities was her love for all children. My Mom had unconditional and infinite love toward us. I remember her arms around me to comfort me when I was hurt or sad. She gave us all so much love —more than the stars in the sky. Jesus loves you this I know.Monaâ??s grandchildren:My Momo was and always will be very special to me. She gave me the love for shopping as a little girl, as I grew up she taught me how to wear makeup, she also taught me that it is very important to always look nice for my husband and feed him well. I will always love and miss my Momo.My grandmother, Momo loved in a way that brings honor to the good news about Christ. She knew that love is not just a feeling it's a choice. She knew that real love takes knowledge, Godâ??s grace and lots of practice. She knew that genuine love is not easy, but it will bless your life beyond imagination here on earth. She was prepared for eternity. She went peacefully. Momo because of your love you learned in faith I see that I can't love by myself. I am developing relationships with many kinds of people in order to practice loving others because you taught Gods word. Anyone could tell that Momo was truly changed by God and lived for Him! She showed Jesus' unconditional love to all she met. She lived as a humble servant and always put others before herself. Momo would give just about anything away to those she loved because of her kind and giving spirit. She had the biggest heart for Jesus and is rejoicing in heaven with Him now. I am so thankful that God blessed me with her. She will always be in my heart. I love you Momo!Monaâ??s great-grandchildren:I remember my Momo always wanting to check if I was taller than her. She always made me smile cause she said â??Momo is supposed to be taller, not my little Laura!â? I will miss her. Love you Momo. Other family of Monaâ??s: So very glad that my sweet dad Norman was able to spend time with his sister Mona several years ago. He still talks of that memorable trip. Aunt Mona was so special to all of us. Mona was the best mother-in-law ever. She loved children and she enjoyed an immaculate home. When she came over, she was always playing with her grandchildren or helping with housekeeping. She was a true friend and a very special blessing in my life.
