Monica Deloris Dabsky's Obituary
Monica Deloris Dabsky, 94, of Cape Coral, died March 10, 2015 at Cape Coral Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. Graveside memorial services at Sarasota National Cemetery will be held at a later date. Memorials: Women’s Veterans Association. Monica was born July 20, 1920 in New York, NY, the daughter of Thomas and Agnes (Gorey) Keating. She married Michael Dabsky and he preceded her in death. Monica was employed by the American Bank Note Co. in Bronx, NY, for two years. She then joined The Women’s Army Corp, serving as a clerk typist from Feb 1944 – November 1945. She attained the rank of Corporal upon her honorable discharge from military service. Surviving are her daughter Noreen Stephenson of Streetsboro, Ohio; great grandchildren, Zachary Crawford of Dallas, Texas; and nephew, Robert Keating of Cape Coral, FL. Also preceding in death are her parents; brother, Thomas; sisters, Margaret, Gertrude; and grandchildren, Eric Berbenick and Adam Stephenson.
