Mose Norman's Obituary
Mose Norman, 89, of Fort Myers, passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2015. He was born August 15, 1925 in Portland Point, Lansing, New York and moved to Fort Myers from Ithaca, NY in 1975. While in Ithaca, he was a barber from 1958 until 1965 at which time he purchased the Derby I and Derby II Restaurant and Cocktail House. He owned and operated these until 1983. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II aboard the USS Quincy. Mr. Norman is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Betty Norman; his three daughters: Darlene, Debra and Michelle; his brother, Sam Norman (Nancy); his five grandchildren: Marcus, Ashley, John Michael, Jessica and Michael and three great grandchildren: Alexis, Sophia Rose and Bowe. Memorial services will take place at a later date at the family’s home. Funeral services and burial will take place in Ithaca, New York.
