Myra J. Baxter's Obituary
Myra Baxter, age 84, formerly of Pahokee, Florida, passed away in Cape Coral, Florida on July 16, 2019. She had been a resident of Fort Myers, Florida since the 1950’s. She had a Masters Degree from the University of Florida, and she loved to teach. Myra was a member of the New Hope Presbyterian Church, American Business Women’s Association, the Retired Teacher Association, and the Edison Festival of Light.Myra leaves behind her nieces; Myra Jensen (Gary Jensen) of Orlando/Winter Park, Florida, Mary Ellen Harper of Fort Myers, Florida, her nephew; Steven Ogle of Fort Myers, Florida, her sister; Clara Ogle of Fort Myers, Florida, her grandchildren; Mark Jensen, Britney Jensen, Sophia Jensen, Jimmie Harper, and great grandchildren; Brantley Jensen, Adeline Clara Colon, and Amelia Colon.Funeral Service for Myra will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at 2:00pm in the Chapel of Memories at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home and Cemetery, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Ft. Myers, Florida. After Myra has been laid to rest, family and friends are welcome for a gathering in the Family Center also located on the cemetery grounds.In honor of Ms. Baxter, a beautiful individual that will be greatly missed by all:Permit me to teach only the truth. Help me to inspire them so that learning will not cease at the classroom door. Let the lessons they learn make their lives fruitful and happy. And, Lord, let me bring them to You. Teach them through me to love You. Finally, permit me to learn the lessons they teach.
