Nancy Morgan Brown's Obituary
Nancy Morgan Brown, 82, of Fort Myers, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2016. She was born March 23, 1934 in Spartanburg, SC and moved to Fort Myers from Charleston, SC in 1959. She retired in 1996 from H.R.S. where she was in charge of placing thousands of children into foster homes. Prior to this, she was a school teacher and social worker. She graduated and received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of North Carolina. Mrs. Brown was a member of the Village Church at Shell Point and a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church of Fort Myers.Mrs. Brown is survived by her husband of 57 years, Leighton G. Brown; her three sons: David, Morgan and Charles Brown, all of Fort Myers; her grandchildren: Heather, Brandon, Kinsey, Madison, Hunter and Reed and her siblings: Maria Morgan Elmore and John E. Morgan, both of Charlotte, NC.Memorial services will be conducted at 11:15 AM Saturday, July 23, 2016 at the Village Church at Shell Point, 15100 Shell Point Blvd., Fort Myers.Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33907, 239-936-0555.
