Nancy Elizabeth Flynn, of Cape Coral Florida, passed away peacefully with her loving son and daughter and grandchildren by her side on Sunday, November 12th, 2023 at Lee Memorial Health Park Hospital, due to a cardiac arrest and respiratory failure. She was 82 years of age.
Nancy was born in Manchester Connecticut on July 22nd, 1941, the proud daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Marshall and Sarah Tyrrell. She was employed by the Connecticut School Board District as a part-time school bus driver so she could raise her own 3 children and to be at home with them during the summer months. She loved being around all children for they always brought her much joy as she watched many of them grow throughout their school days and years. Nancy and her 2nd husband, Frances J. Flynn moved to Florida in 1985, bought a home in Cape Coral and worked as a full time bus driver for the Lee County School Board District. She had three children of her own with her first husband, David T. McConnell; David M. McConnell and Sarah M. McMillan of Cape Coral, Florida, Danny McConnell of Connecticut. Nancy recently lost her husband Frances who passed away September 14th, 2023, after a long battle with cancer. She had 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren as well as a multitude of others who called her a friend. She will be dearly missed by her loving family and all that knew her.
Funeral Services for Nancy E. Flynn will be conducted privately by the immediate family and she will be laid to rest in the Garden of the Good Shepherd at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery beside her late husband during a committal ceremony held on an undisclosed date and time.
