Napoleon Escobar, 86 a Sarasota resident since 2016, formerly of Cape Coral, FL passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2018. He was born December 15, 1931 in Tegucigalpa, Honduras to Jose Escobar and Dominga Rivera, now deceased.He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He started working as a pressman at a young age, took a break and sailed as a merchant marine for an oil company, returned to work as a pressman in Honduras and Boston Massachusetts. Enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox baseball games. He believed and had a personal relationship with God and expected to see his wife in heaven.Napoleon is survived by his seven loving children, Napoleon Escobar Jr. (Herminia) of Boston, MA, Cesar Escobar of Honduras, Rigoberto Escobar (Patricia) of Kissimmee, FL, Milgian Ibanez (David) of Sarasota, FL, Izendra Acevedo (Mynor) of Boston, MA, Marco Escobar (Aura) of Cape Coral, FL and Maira Cobon of Boston, MA; Seven brothers and sisters, Mercedes Escobar of Cape Coral, FL, Ismenia Parrado Escobar of Sarasota, FL, Vilma Osorto Escobar (Arcadio) of Honduras, Julio Escobar, Olga Marina Escobar of Honduras, Manuel Rivera of Honduras, Ernesto Rivera of Honduras; 22 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.He was preceded in death by his wife Graciela on August 28, 2014.A Memorial Service will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, August 28, 2018 at the Chapel of Light at Ft. Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home and Cemetery, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Ft.
