Nicholas M. Lentis, 81, of Fort Myers, FL died October 24, 2017 at Health Park Hospital in Fort Myers.Funeral service will be on Monday November the 13th 2017, at 1.00 pm, at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd, Fort Myers, FL. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time.Memorials: Donor’s Choice.Nicholas was born September 1, 1936 in Brooklyn, NY, the son of Minas and Erini (Mavroleon) Lentis.Nicholas graduated in 1961 from Monmouth College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. He served as a Contractor for the Department of Defense and the US Army. Nicholas was also a veteran and Captain of the US Army. He was a member of the Greek Orthodox faith.During his leisure time he enjoyed visiting historical sites, especially within the U.S. He was very much interested in the American history and particularly the history of the Civil War. He also enjoyed exploring the etymology of English words, especially those of Greek origin.Surviving are his children Dr. Dorothea Lentis of Athens, Greece, Minas Lentis of Athens Greece; brother, Mike Lentis of New Jersey, and granddaughter Marika Karouzou.Condolences may be left to Nicholas’s family at www.fortmyersmemorial.com.
