Nidia Silva Freitas' Obituary
Nidia Silva Freitas, 61, a long-term resident of Cape Coral, passed away Saturday, March 3, 2018 at her residence.She was born January 30, 1957 in Sao Caetano, Brazil. In 1969, Nidia and her family moved to the United States and resided in Philadelphia for a brief period. Shortly after, she made way for Union, New Jersey and attended Kean College of New Jersey where she graduated in 1985 and later became an accountant for various organizations.Nidia was a highly devout Christian who put God directly in everything she did. With His strength she was able to be the fighter that we all knew. She put her family above all, and for that she strived to conquer all challenges put before her. Prior to Nidia’s health complications, she was a free soul, traveling wherever her heart would take her. The world was her canvas, to leave her mark upon. At a very young age she planned to visit as many places throughout the world as possible. However, Nidia’s greatest and most cherished experience was being a mother. She truly honored her family, as she felt that was all she ever wanted in life.She leaves behind her loving husband of 29 years, Evandro Freitas; two children, Francine Silva Freitas and Andrew Silva Freitas; her father, Jairo Da Silva; one brother, Jerry Da Silva and his wife Christine; as well as nephew Cristiano and many other extended family members.Nidia now lies in rest with her mother, Natalina Da Silva.A Funeral Service will be celebrated 1:00 PM, Friday, March 9, 2018 at Ft. Myers Memorial GardensFuneral Home & Cemetery, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Ft. Myers, FL. Friends may visit with the family from11:00 AM until service time on Friday, March 9, 2018.If feeling compelled, individuals may contribute to memorial in the form of flowers left in loving memory of Nidia Silva Freitas.
