Niki (Vicky) Fagerlie's Obituary
Niki Fagerlie, 87, of Fort Myers, Florida, after a wonderful, well lived lifetime, passed away at the Shell Point Hospice on April 21, 2014. Niki was born on the Island of Crete and became an American citizen in 1957. Her loving husband, Ingebret F. Fagerlie, preceded her in death as did her 3 sisters. She is survived by her daughter and daughter’s husband and two grandchildren whom she loved and were blessed to have her as a mom and a Yiayia. During her lifetime, Niki and her husband travelled the world and lived in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. She started a fast food restaurant in Athens and was a dedicated volunteer to her Greek Orthodox church wherever she resided. Niki spoke French, Italian, Arabic and Greek. She will be missed by her family and many friends. A Funeral Mass will be conducted at 11:00 AM Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 8210 Cypress Lake Drive, Fort Myers with burial to follow in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Following burial services at the cemetery, a reception will follow in the Arthur K. Kontinos Social Hall at the church. Friends will be received from 6 – 8 PM Friday, April 25, 2014 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home with a Trisagion service to be held at 7:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Classroom Capital Fund at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 8210 Cypress Lake Drive, Fort Myers, FL 33919.
