Norma L'Hommedieu's Obituary
Norma was reunited with husband, Frank, Tuesday, December 23, 2014, in Tallahassee, Florida. Norma was born in Windsor, Ontario September 5, 1923, the youngest of three children born to the union of Muriel and Clinton Yorke. The family moved to Highland Park, Michigan, where she grew up, graduating from Highland Park High School in 1941. She married her high school sweetheart, Frank L’Hommedieu, April 23, 1943. While raising two children, Norma worked in customer service and retailing. The family moved to Cape Coral, Florida in 1963, where she eventually joined the Cape Coral Bank (Sun Trust) in operations, retiring in 1984. Norma is survived by son, Frank III and wife Nancy, daughter, Paula Collins and husband John, grand children, Darren L’Hommedieu and wife Christine and Patrick Collins and wife Alexandra and great grandchildren, Nicole and Tommy L’Hommedieu and Xander Collins. Funeral services will be held Monday, December 29, 2014, at 11:00 AM, at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Big Bend Hospice (Tallahassee), The Humane Society or the Alzheimer’s Association.
