Norma M. Proulx, 96, a Florida resident since 1984, formerly of Danielson, CT, passed away Monday September 3, 2018 in Lake Placid, FL. She was born in Brooklyn, CT on November 11, 1921.Norma was past President of Putnam Emblem Club. She was Eucharist Minister for St. Catherine’s Catholic Church, Sebring, FL and an active participant at St. James Catholic Church, Lake Placid, FL.She enjoyed traveling around the world, especially the United States. Norma’s hobbies included walking, swimming and reading. She was predeceased by her husband Ernest J. Proulx in 1989.She is survived by her two children, Sandra E. Tufts (Richard) of Lake Placid, FL and Earl D. Proulx (Fabiola) of Jewett City, CT; nine grand children, Michelle Headon of Dayville, CT, David Desrosiers of Gainsville, GA, Renee Gifford of Wichita Falls, TX, Monique Desrosiers of Groton, CT, Michael Desrosiers of Brooklyn, CT, and Anthony Delaura of FT Myers, FL, Jennifer Proulx of Jewett City, CT, Kimberly Huntley of Norwich, CT and Lori Proulx of Norwich, CT; 16 great grandchildren, Christopher Desrosiers of Tampa, FL, Matthew Desrosiers of Dayville, CT, Joshua Headon of Dayville, CT, Lisa Desrosiers of Sterling, CT, Tiffany Searcy of Atlanta, GA, Stephani Desrosiers of Atlanta, GA Corey Desrosiers of Cartersville, GA , Joshua Huntley of New London, CT, Brittney Bolduc of Taftville, CT, Michaela Audet of Norfolk,VA, Deliah DeLaura of North Ft. Myers, FL, Dante DeLaura of North Ft. Myers, FL, Nathan Gifford of Fort Worth, TX, Zachery Gifford of Denton, TX, Erin Desrosiers of Plainfield, CT and Evan Desrosiers of Plainfield, CT; as well as 10 great great grandchildren.A Mass of Catholic Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM, Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church, 2057 Cleveland Avenue, Ft. Myers, FL, 33901. Entombment will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Ft.
