Michael Christensen
Norman Clemons was a indeed a special man. He was hard working and ambitious. His brother in law and partner Alfred Michael Christensen founded Trail Dairy in the late 40’s. Yes, they started wth one cow. I had the privlage to be part of the Clemons-Christensen extended family while growing up. I have fond memories of the time I spent at Trail Dairy with his son “Buster” Clemons. The family story goes that Norman was shot during World War II while lighting up a cigarette. I wish I had asked him if the story was true. Norman was the last of an industrious four person husband and wife team that made Trail Dairy a success in spite of sometimes poor milk prices and many hurricanes. The Clemons family has a special place in my heart especially his older sister Jean (Clemons) Christensen as she was the kindest person I have ever known.
