Norman Gene Cosby's Obituary
Norman Gene Cosby, 67 of Fort Myers, passed peacefully in the morning on June 1, 2023. Norman was born January 14, 1956, to Robert and Patricia (Lane) Cosby in Madison, Indiana.
Norman has called Florida his home for 13 years. Wherever he was, he was close to his faith and always attended church when given the opportunity. Norman was a retired United States Marine and his honor for his country did not stop after his service. He later was a helpful hand with the Disabled and Blind Veterans Association and part of the Beacon group in Pelican Preserve.
Norman is preceded in passing by his parents, sister Susie, and brother Mark.
Norman leaves his loving memory with his survivors, wife Direnda, daughters Yvette (Douglas) Bender, Daria Cosby, Jeannine (Matt) Cosby, Quinn Cosby, and sons Norman Keegan Cosby and Ian Henton, siblings Robert Cosby Jr, Patricia (Steve) Condon, Ricky (Charlotte) Cosby, Joan (Elvin) Belle, Eloy (Mickie) Cosby, Jessica (Michael) Paddock, Ruth (Sidney) Cosby-Taylor, and Isadore (Renae) Cosby, 17 grandchildren, and 2 great- grandchildren.
Norman's family has entrusted Fort Myers Memorial Gardens with the care of his final arrangements, and he will have a graveside service at Crown Hill National Cemetery in Indiana on June 23, 2023 at 1PM.
