Norman G. Raber's Obituary
Norman G Raber born April 19, 1944 in Ottowa, IL, lost his battle with cancer August 16, 2014. He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Marcey Stonephifer Raber and his brother, Kenneth Raber.He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Bates Raber, his son Todd Raber, daughters, Pamela Raber and Heather Raber, stepson, Bobby O. Bates, Jr., (Tracey), stepdaughter, Sheri Bates Adkins, (Mark) and 9 grandchildren.Norm was well loved by family and friends. He loved his church and fellow Christian brothers and sisters at Church of the Cross.Norman was the President and owner of All About Backflows, Inc. He worked several years as a stockbroker for many well known brokerage firms in our community.Norm was the VP and Building Use Coordinator for the Land Stewardship Ministeries at the Church of the Cross for many years.Norm was a member of the Masons and Exhaulted Ruler of the Elks.We will be celebrating his life on Wednesday, August 20, 2014, at the Church of the Cross. Visitation will be from 11:30 – 1:00. The memorial service will began at 1:00.In lieu of flowers Norm has requested donations be made in his name to Church of the Cross, 13500 Freshman LN, Fort Myers, FL 33912.Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home is serving the family.
