Olive Sue Johnson's Obituary
Olive (Sue) Johnson, 95, of Lehigh Acres, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 15, 2018. She was born July 26, 1922 in Italy Cross, Nova Scotia to Thomas and Alice (Niford) Hickson. Mrs. Johnson was the last of 13 children.Olive married Ernest Edward Smith, a career Navy Officer and they had 3 children: Judith Diane Smith, Wayne Timothy Smith and Ernest Edward Smith, Jr. After her first husband’s passing, she met and married Clifton A. Johnson and they had one son: Clifton Robert Johnson. Olive was preceded in death by both husbands and her daughter Judith. In addition to her sons, she is survived by 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren. Olive lived most of her life in Massachusetts and retired in Florida.Olive loved to crochet and was known for making beautiful afghan quilts, needlepoint, and dish towels.Cremation and interment are under the direction of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33907, 239-936-0555.
