Oralynn Macatee Wagener's Obituary
Oralynn Macatee Wagener, 96, of Fort Myers, passed away August 29, 2012.?áShe was born August 16, 1916 in Houston, Texas to the late William Leonard and Ora (Hall) Macatee. Oralynn graduated from the Ursuline Academy in New Rochelle, New York and also attended the College of New Rochelle.?áShe became a dance teacher, and taught dance there for several years from her private studio.?á After marriage she and her husband lived in Rockville Centre, New York; she became an active member of many community organizations, including the Nassau Women?ÇÖs Club, of which she became President; she was also a member of St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church. She and her husband built a home in Lee County in 1994, and became part-time residents. She is survived by her husband George (married for 59 years), daughter Mary Seal and her husband Stephen Seal of Fort Myers; brother Richard Macatee of Shepherdstown, West Virginia; grandson Scott Griffin, his wife Gretchen (Tampa, Florida), granddaughter Laura Griffin (Denver, Colorado); and great-granddaughter Natalie Griffin (Tampa). There will be a visitation on Sunday, September 2, 2012 from 10:00 to 1:30 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, Florida. There will also be services in New York being handled by the Thomas Glynn and Sons Funeral Home in Rockville Centre, New York.?áInterment will be at The Evergreens Cemetery in Brooklyn.
