Pasquale Lombardo's Obituary
Pasquale (“Pat”) Lombardo, 85, passed away peacefully on February 2, 2026, in Fort Myers, Florida. He was born on June 21, 1940, in Camden, New Jersey, to the late Anthony and Marion Lombardo. He was also preceded in death by his beloved sister, Josephine Kilpatrick (Dan).
Family was at the center of Pat’s life. He loved his family, neighbors, and friends deeply and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He embraced the Florida lifestyle, enjoying sunny days and boating with Fay aboard their beloved boat, That’s Amore. He also had a lifelong love of Italian bread and a good home-cooked meal, a fondness that began in childhood when his mother spoiled him daily at the dinner table.
Pat lived life to the fullest. Self-motivated, a true “jack of all trades,” he never shied away from a challenge. He retired from DuPont as a Project Engineer—an impressive achievement that reflected his determination, intelligence, and work-ethic, especially who’s formal education ended in high school. Pat also had a deep love of music. He enjoyed listening to and playing several instruments, and in his early adulthood formed a band called The Peptones, where he proudly played the accordion.
Pat was immensely proud of his sons, Anthony and Michael, and supported them in every way he could. One of his greatest accomplishments was taking over the Paulsboro Junior Wrestling program in the early 1970s and leading this storied program for 10 years. He stepped away in the early “80s to follow his sons compete for his alma mater, Paulsboro High School. His dedication never waned—he followed them through their college wrestling careers, rarely missing a match, even driving 7 hours to see a single competition at NC State before returning home to work the next day.
Pat was a determined man who never accepted “I can’t” as an answer. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his strength, perseverance, and love for those around him.
Pat is survived by his wife of nine years, Fay; his sister, Rose Marie (Ken); his devoted sons, Anthony (Janet) and Michael (Colleen); his cherished grandchildren, Amanda, Anthony, Brett, and Gianna; his adored great-granddaughter, Liliana; as well as several of his beloved extended family including cousins, nephews and nieces.
A gathering of family and friends in celebration of Pat’s life will be held at a time to be announced. Additional services will take place in New Jersey and North Carolina at a later date.
