Patricia Elaine Johnson's Obituary
Patricia Elaine (Patty) Johnson. Patty was born October 17, 1951 in Memphis, Tennessee to Lofton and Gladys Cole. Patty and her husband Stafford moved to Ft. Myers in 1977, where Patty began her career at Lee Memorial Hospital as the first Echo-cardiographer, and leader of the department. The department is now known as Cardiovascular Services. Patty was employed by Lee Memorial Health System over 35 years and developed several out patient and hospital departments during her tenure. She was a beloved leader, friend and mentor to all of her ninety employees. Although work played an important role, nothing in life could over shadow the true love and light of her life; her daughter Adrienne Johnson. Patty and Adrienne had a mother/daughter relationship that most people dream of. They were two peas in a pod, and best friends who could complete each other’s sentences, and always giggled at the same things. This love affair continued as Adrienne and fianc?? Jake Mitchell had two boys, whom also became the light of Patty’s life. Patty was a devoted grandmother (Gigi) to Jackson and Rylan, and was enchanted while in their company. Patty will be remembered for here many professional and personal accomplishments, but mostly for the love she shared with all who knew her. A Celebration of Life is being planned.
