I so enjoyed going to Patti with questions about anything and everything, but especially about my scholarly passion, Virginia Woolf. As I say in my book's acknowledgments, she searched the world for what I needed, and then she and Allen Reichert managed to bring most of it to Otterbein. She absolutely loved her work and people, and it showed in everything she did. I missed her when she left Otterbein, as did many, and I miss her even more deeply now. Patti and I drove to college together after dropping brothers off at St. Charles. She was not only an amazing student but a strong, tough basketball player. My favorite memories of her are on our journey to Ireland in 2016. We breathed in all the Celtic history for two weeks as we connected with our Irish souls. Miss her laugh and the deep talks we used to have. Thank you for letting us know.

Patti was a delight to work with and a valued colleague in the Courtright Memorial Library. We shared loads of laughs through the years, exchanged bits of wisdom about life and family. I enjoyed challenging her in a game I called, "Stump The Librarian", in which I would ask her a question on a random topic, challenging her to know the answer. Sure enough, within minutes she would provide an answer, or point me to volumes of journals, which combined, would provide the answer! She never considered it winning, instead she smiled and generally said, "I'm glad I could be of help".

Patti and I worked together at Otterbein - she was an amazing woman and an extraordinary librarian. I remember our trips together to Pittsburgh, Falling Water, San Francisco, Seattle, Chicago and may other places, primarily to attend Library Conferences, but we always found a way to explore other locations while at the conference. I miss her and know that countless others do as well. I wish her family peace during this difficult time. Thinking of you all! Lois Szudy

My cousin Patti was always a delight for a talk. She was interested in so many things and sparked great conversations. I loved her wit and the sparkle in her eyes that made me think I was in the presence of a wise one and I was!
I love her and wish during our latter years we could have lived closer and thus banked some cherish memories. Blessings to all of her family. You all are admirable champs and took such great care of her. I worried about her but knowing she was in such loving hands was a great comfort. Thank You!

I will always be thankful and grateful for the kindness my Aunt Patti showed me. I looked forward every Christmas to her gift of a new book. One of the firsts was A is for Alibi by Sue Grafton.
