Patricia Ann Russell's Obituary
Patricia Ann Russell passed away peacefully at Joanne’s House in Bonita Springs with her loving family by her side on Monday, October 24, 2016 following some recent health challenges. She was 68 years old.Patti was born on June 9, 1948 the beautiful daughter of Violet (Grilliot) and Eugene Wead. She grew up in Southern Indiana and worked in the Insurance industry as an Agent specializing in Property and Casualty Protection. She was a longtime supporter and active advocate for Little League Baseball and worked hard along with her husband Skip when he co-founded San Carlos Little League in 1986. She enjoyed spending time at the field with friends and family and especially cherished the opportunity to help kids increase their love for the game and their overall appreciation of life.Left to cherish her memory is her son Jeff Russell (Carissa) and the true jewel of her life, 3 grandchildren, Kileigh Russell, Kaeden Russell and Jakob Frentz. She also leaves behind a number of nieces and nephews, a great many extended family members and scores of friends who are greatly saddened with the he loss of her company. She was the loving wife to Clarence W. “Skip” Russell, the loving mother to Amy Russell and the beloved sister to Robert Wead all who preceded her in death.A Visitation for Patti will take place from 5:00 – 7:00 PM on Friday, October 28, 2016 inside the Chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555. A Memorial Service will be held the following day, Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 11:00 AM also at the funeral home chapel. Friends will be received for an hour preceding this ceremony beginning at 10:00 AM.Patti loved flowers and floral memorials will be gratefully accepted in her honor for the above services and thereafter donated to Joanne’s House.
