Paul Earl Cowdin, 87, of ?áFort Myers, Passed away November 04, 2012. He was born, March 31, 1925 in Lafayette, Indiana and has been a resident of Florida since 1964. Paul served in The United States Navy on a destroyer during World War II and was called back to duty for the Korean War serving at Naval Headquarters in Washington D.C., working for the?áNaval Bureau of Aeronautics.?áHe was honorably discharged?áin 1952. ?áPaul skillfully earned a Bachelors Degree from Purdue University in the field of Aeronautical Engineering. He also earned his MBA at Southern Methodist University.?áDuring his career in Airline Management, he served as the Director of Base Operations of Eastern Airlines out of Miami International Airport. He was a member of Eastern Airlines Retirement?áAssociation. Paul?áenjoyed woodworking, reading, aviation and finance. ?á Paul leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife Betty. They were lovingly married for 67 years. Also, his two sons: Randall Paul Cowdin (Gayle) of Cape Coral, Florida and Daniel Bruce Cowdin (Randi) of Federal Way, Washington. He also leaves behind his sister Joann Ahlstrom of Utah with 10 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. A memorial service will be held on Thursday December 06, 2012 at 11 AM at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Pastor Bruce Merton is scheduled to officiate.
