Paul Harold Nonemaker's Obituary
Paul Harold Nonemaker, Jr., 74, “slipped the surly bonds of earth and touched the face of God” on September 16, 2013. He was born April 28, 1939 in Freeport, Long Island, New York to the late Paul Sr. and Vivian (Maud) Nonemaker. In addition to his parents, Paul is preceded in death by his sister, Anita and his first wife, Patsy Ruth. Paul served in the United States Air Force and saw action in Vietnam. He was a pilot and instructor for TWA and UPS, from which he retired. He came to Lee County in 2007 from Louisville, Kentucky where he was an active member of Evangel World Prayer Center. Once down here in Florida, he joined First Assembly of God in Fort Myers. There he became assistant director of Home Missions, He served in the camera crew, Eagles Nest kitchen crew, and men’s ministry. His heart was in mission work at home and abroad and he became assistant director of Home Missions. In addition to flying, he loved boating and belonged to the Power Squadron. Paul went to be with the Lord last Monday on an airplane heading back home from South Africa where he had spent 10 days on a mission trip ministering to the needy. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 6 years, Laura; sons, Timothy Nonemaker and his wife Lori of Lawson, Missouri and David Nonemaker of Missouri; step-daughters, Lisa Windhorst and her husband Jeff of Louisville, Kentucky and Marlene Fulkerson and her husband Terry also of Louisville; step-son, Michael McCrea and his wife Patty of Eddyville, Kentucky; brother, Dale Nonemaker and his wife Linda and sister, Wendy Copp both of Pompano Beach, Florida; grandchildren, Justin, Hannah, Mallory, Leah, Rachel and Brandon and his wife Donya; great-grandchildren, David and his wife Morgan, Devin, Brianna and Reyna. There will be a Celebration of Life service at Evangel World Prayer Center on Billtown Road on Saturday, October 12, with visitation at 1:00 p.m. and the memorial service at 2:00 p.m. Interment will be in Hebron Cemetery in Shepherdsville, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Lord’s Kitchen, 2732 S. 5th Street, Louisville, KY 40208.
