Paul J. Richards' Obituary
Paul J. Richards of Fort Myers passed peacefully in his home on January 4, 2023. Paul was born
December 21, 1940, to Paul and Annie (McGivney) Richards in Floral Park, New York.
Paul moved his family to Hicksville, New York in 1967 where he established the Paul Richards Plumbing & Heating business that he operated for thirty years. He was very proud of his employees and his reputation as a business man. He loved the work that he did. Due to a heart condition, he retired from his plumbing career in 1997. Paul was a passionate usher for St. Paul the Apostle in New York for twenty five years, then following his relocation to Fort Myers in 1998 he ushered for The Church of the Resurrection of Our Lord in Ft Myers. He also enjoyed fishing and golfing with his sons and friends. Spending time with his family was important to him. Following retirement he was always looking for projects to do around the house or to be helping friends. Paul is preceded in passing by his parents and sister, Theresa Lynch.
Paul leaves his loving memory with his wife of 62 years Eileen Richards, children Paul Richards
of New York, Daniel (Karen) Richards of New York, and Tim (Jennifer) Richards of Naples, FL,
Kyle (Katia) Richards of New York, and his beloved grandchildren Jenna, Elaine, Jack, Kayla, and Kevin.
A Mass for Paul will celebrated on February 21, 2023 at St. John XXIII Catholic Church 13060
Palomino Lane, Fort Myers, at 10:00 A.M. Following the mass his remains will be interred at Ft.
Myers Memorial Gardens.
