Paul Leslie Rose's Obituary
Paul Leslie Rose of North Fort Myers passed away peacefully at Lee Memorial Hospital on Sunday, December 21, 2014 with his loving family by his side. He was 87 years old.Paul was born on October 26, 1927 in Bradford, Pennsylvania, the proud son of Dorothea (Huston) and Clifton Rose. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was very gifted in matters of craftsmanship and mechanical aptitude. In addition to working as an automotive mechanic he also worked as a custom furniture craftsman. He was truly a jack-of-all-trades, the kind of person you could count on to solve the most frustrating problems encountered at work or around the house.He leaves to cherish his loving memory his wife Bonnie Rose; son Mark L. Rose; daughter Marcella Johnson; brother Laurence E. Rose and sister Helen L. Stayer. He also leaves behind a number of extended family members and numerous friends who will greatly miss his company. Sadly, he was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Clifton.A Visitation will be conducted from 1:00 – 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 27, 2014 in the Chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555. A Memorial Service will be celebrated immediately following at 2:00 PM, also in the chapel. At the conclusion of services, friends and family will recess to adjacent Memorial Gardens Cemetery where Mr. Rose will be laid to rest in the Veteran’s Garden after a Committal Service.The family requests no flowers be sent as part of Paul’s services but that you instead consider a donation in his memory to the charity of your choice.
