Paul Joseph Sproviero's Obituary
Paul Joseph Sproviero 64, of Bloomington, MN, passed away on Friday, November 25, 2022 of natural causes. Paul was born March 12, 1958, in Stamford, Connecticut to Frank and Joan Sproviero. Paul grew up in Trumbull Connecticut and graduated from Trumbull High School in 1976. He attended Norwalk Technical College from which he also graduated. Paul moved from Connecticut to California and worked in the I.T. field for most of his life, working more recently for Abbott Laboratories out of Minnesota.
Paul’s relationship with God was the center of everything that Paul did. Paul was invited by his sister Alicia, to attend a church service at Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside California in 1989. When the gospel was presented and the invitation offered to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior, Paul without hesitation, rushed down the aisle to respond. Paul always had the heart of a servant and while living in California, Paul continued to attended Harvest Christian Fellowship where he served as an usher. Paul also volunteered to work at the evangelistic crusades that Harvest would put on across the country. Whatever or wherever the need, Paul was always willing to serve. Paul moved to Minnesota in 2003 while working for the Toro company. Paul began attending Calvary Chapel Twin Cities until the present and continued to serve as an usher and a Sunday school teacher. He also continued to travel to whatever city a Harvest Crusade might be held. Since moving to Minnesota, Paul adopted the Minnesota Twins as his favorite baseball team. Paul was their biggest fan and loved going to the Twins games with his church family. The other defining characteristic of Paul’s life was his generosity. He frequently gave away tickets to Twins games and he opened his Florida townhouse for many families to vacation there. Paul lived out what the scripture says that it is more blessed to give than to receive. Paul will be loved and greatly missed.
Paul is preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Joan Sproviero. Paul is survived: by sister: Alicia (Dave) Broderick, nephews: Scott and Shawn, niece: Brianna, and great-nephews: Carter, Caleb, and Scott III.
