Paulina Jimenez-Salazar's Obituary
Paulina Jimenez-Salazar, 90, a beloved resident of Fort Myers, FL since 2001 and formerly of Chicago, IL, passed away peacefully at her residence on Saturday, January 11, 2025. Born on April 29, 1934, in Costa Rica, Paulina was the cherished daughter of the late Antonio Salazar Marin and Rosa Oliva Artavia Morales.
Paulina's life journey led her to the United States in 1962 from Costa Rica, bringing with her a vibrant spirit and a heart full of love. A devout member of the Catholic faith, she lived her life with grace and devotion. Her passions included gardening, tending to flowers, dancing, and enjoying music. Paulina's love for these simple joys was a testament to her true romantic nature.
She firmly believed that love was the most beautiful thing in the world, a sentiment that she carried with her and shared generously with everyone she met. Her warmth, kindness, and zest for life left an indelible mark on those fortunate enough to have known her. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Guillermo Jimenez and her second husband, Eduardo Rivera.
Paulina is survived by her 10 loving children, Miriam Narvaez Jimenez, Guillermo A. Jimenez, Miguel Jiminez, Mario A. Jimenez, Carlos E. Jimenez, Margaret L. Jimenez, Robert Jimenez, Elizabeth Jimenez Reyes, Paul Jimenez and Mitchell Lara; 20 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren; as well as many extended family members and friends.
The family will receive friend for a time of visitation from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 AM, Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at Jesus the Worker Catholic Church, 881 Nuna Avenue, Fort Myers, FL. Burial will follow at Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Fort Myers, FL.
Paulina's legacy is one of love, beauty, and joy. She will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her enchanting spirit and the love she so freely gave to the world. Her memory will continue to bloom in the hearts of her family and friends.
