Pauline Anne Moody's Obituary
Pauline Moody departed her loving family on Saturday, February 17, 2024 in her own home in Cape Coral, Florida at the age of 91.
Pauline was born in Niagara Falls, NY on January 29, 1933 to Earl Smith & Julia Palinchak-Gogatz. Pauline graduated from Niagara Falls High School in 1951.
Pauline was mother to Robin (Wayne) Caraway, Leslie (Kevin) McLain, Meghan (Gary) Willoughby. She raised her children with love and devotion in North Tonawanda, NY with her husband Robert L. Moody (deceased.)
Pauline served as a Teacher’s Aide at Gulf Middle School with special needs children and helped in the library. Her hobbies included painting, gardening, sewing, and researching her family history. She was most proud of her volunteering with animal causes, coaching her church basketball team, delivering Meals on Wheels, and serving as a Girl Scout Troop leader for 10 years.
She is survived by her three children, her granddaughter Brittanie Butler, and her step-grandsons Chris and Matthew McLain.
A Memorial Service for Pauline will be celebrated by Pastor Graham A. Stein at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 1, 2024 inside the Chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555. Guests are welcome to gather for a half-hour in advance of this service beginning at 10:30 AM also inside the funeral home chapel.
Pauline will thereafter be laid to rest at a private ceremony alongside her dearly departed husband Robert at the Veteran's Wall of Honor inside the Chapel of Memories located on the grounds of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
