Perry Stewart Bennett's Obituary
Perry Stewart Bennett of Cape Coral, Florida, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2017 in Hope Hospice after some recent health challenges. He was 82. Perry was born was born October 24, 1934 in Bowman, Georgia to the late Julian and Mamie Bennett. Throughout his professional life he worked as a salesman and as a butcher. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 40+ years, Mary T. Bennett (2016) and a grandson, Julian Gonzalez-Hargis (2004). Perry is survived by four children, Don E. Hargis, Jr. (Debbie) of Palm Harbor, Florida, Betsy A. Rager of Cape Coral, Florida, Annette M. Hargis of Cape Coral, Florida and Julie R. Smith of Fort Myers, Florida. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; Branden Rager, Donald Hargis, Tanner Rager, Benjamin Hargis, Jessica Gurnow, Jillian Smith, Samuel Hargis and Sean Gonzalez-Hargis as well as three great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be private at the convenience of the family. Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida, 33907 is serving the family.
