Peter Fredrick Riley Jr.'s Obituary
Peter Fredrick Riley, Jr., 78, of North Fort Myers, passed away Wednesday, July 1, 2020. He was born April 29, 1942 in Torrington, CT and moved to Florida in 2009. He was preceded in death by his siblings: Judy Smith, Susan Jacob, Robert Riley and Mitchel Riley.
Peter attended Litchfield and Torrington Schools and joined the United States Marine Corps in 1960, serving 4 proud years. He also worked part time for Pratt and Whitney and the Quality Shop of Torrington, Connecticut while working full-time as a Torrington fire fighter. He finished his Connecticut careers co-owning with his wife, Bantam Country Liquors of Bantam, Connecticut for 22 years. He retired to North Fort Myers where he enjoyed golfing and sitting by the pool with a good book.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Martha Deming Riley, 2 daughters, Patricia Riley Rogers (Glen) and Susan Riley Mohl (Brian). Also surviving are his grandchildren: Peter Ganem, Samantha Ganem, Nicole Rogers and Brian Mohl, II; his 2 sisters, Carol Waite and Elizabeth Ebner and his brother, Dennis Riley. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Funeral and burial services will be at the convenience of the family at a later date.
