Phil Murano's Obituary
Phil Murano, 62, of Fort Myers, FL, formerly of Wurtsboro New York passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, June 6, 2021, in Cape Coral, FL. He was born September 2, 1958 in Middletown, NY.
Phil loved his family above all else. A devoted husband who lived out the values of integrity, faithfulness, and joy in every aspect of his life. He enjoyed a wonderful career of many talents including mechanics, landscaping, and finally as the CAM for Bay Forest HOA in Naples FL. More than the roles he held, he cherished the people he encountered the most. Phil was a man of great character and humility. He sought to elevate those around him and never took the credit for any professional accolades. Ultimately, his legacy will reflect the passions he held most dear including his faith, family, and music. As an active member of Next Level Church, he was known by many as a faithful worship team member who led those around him to glorify God. Indeed, he found his calling as a big brother and encourager to many young musicians. He believed in the power of prayer and throughout his recent battle with two types of cancer, he often expressed his sincere appreciation for those who lifted him to the Lord in faith. Classic cars, singing and playing guitar were most enjoyable to him in the presence of friends and family. Phil had a special bond with his beloved nieces, Katie and Chloe. He loved being their uncle, to them and as a “Gpa” to his adoring grandchildren, he will surely be remembered as the fun jokester with infectious love & laughter. Phil’s greatest joy was his children and he was exceedingly proud of them; not for what they did but for who they are. As a father and husband, Phil will be sorely missed. His family takes comfort in knowing he is in the presence of his Lord, fully restored; welcomed by the grace of God and with the words he longed to hear, “Well done, my son.”.
Phil was preceded in death by his father, Carmine Murano.
Phil is survived by his beloved wife of 26 years, Karen Murano of Fort Myers, FL; three children, Robin (Jesus) of Miami, FL, Phillip Joseph “Joey” Murano of Fort Myers, FL and Dominic Murano of Fort Myers, FL; his loving mother, Marie “Bea” Murano of Lehigh Acres, FL; his two brothers, Carmine Murano, Jr. (Linda) of Merritt Island, FL and Guy Murano of Fort Myers, FL; three adored grandchildren, Audrey, Sylas and Naomi; as well as many extended family members.
