Philip J. Stropp, 75, a Ft. Myers, FL resident since 1979, formerly of Michigan, passed away Saturday, April 7, 2018 in Ft. Myers, FL. He was born January 10, 1943 in Detroit, MI to Harold and Elizabeth Stropp, now deceased.Philip was a graduate of Mackenzie High School. He served in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War, where he also graduated from the Air Force Electronics Technician Program. In his spare time, he loved to tinker with and repair electronics. He also enjoyed reading, music, dancing and keeping his mind active with Sodoku.He is survived by his loving children, Sara Kritikos and her husband Antonios of Cape Coral, Kathleen Salisbury of Ft. Myers, FL, Barbara Simms of Columbus, OH and Irvin Simms and his wife Sue of Traverse City, MI; eight grandchildren, Brianna, Jacob, Tracy, Christina, Roy, AJ, Ashley and Brandon; as well as many extended family members.Philip was preceded in death by his wife, Flora M. Stropp and his son, Steven Simms.A Funeral Service will be held 1:30 PM, Friday, April 13, 2018 at Ft. Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Ft. Myers, FL. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 12:00 Noon until the service time.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Hope Hospice, 9470 Healthpark Circle, Ft.
