Phyllis had three great loves in her life: Jesus Christ, her Lord and Savior, her husbandJean, and her family. She spent her life in God's service and even in her later yearsenjoyed listening to God's word. Phyllis also loved to do word search puzzles every day.Phyllis was the best taught Grandma around. Her 9-year-old granddaughter spentevery day teaching Grandma what she had learned at school. She also shared herAmerican Girl stories with Grandma. Grandma would talk to her about life during the Great Depression and World War II. Phyllis lit up whenever a dear friend would call or come for a visit. If you called, don't feel bad if she didn't tell you good-bye. She never liked to say good-bye. True to formshe told us thank you many times during the last few weeks of her life, but slipped away quietly in her sleep with nary a good-bye.We will miss you, Mom…until we meet again on the Heavenly Shores.Thank you to all the family and friends over the years of her illness that took the time out of their busy lives to think of her and call, send her a note, or come to visit.
