Phyllis Marie Nead's Obituary
On September 14, 2023 Phyllis Marie Greive Nead got her wings and went to walk with the angels.
She was born on September 23, 1931, in French, Ohio County, Indiana, growing up on a farm on Laughery Creek Road in Aurora, Indiana. Phyllis was a member of St John’s Lutheran Church in Aurora. A graduate of Aurora H.S., she married Dennis Nead of Osgood, Indiana in November 1953 and the couple resided in Osgood where Phyllis served as the former Medical Administrator for Dr. G.A. Row. She was also the Co-owner of Nead and Clark Funeral Home of Osgood and was a founding member of the Osgood Beautification Committee. Phyllis was also a proud member of the National Daughters of The American Revolution. Upon her later move to Florida, she became an active member of the Cape Coral New Resident Club.
Phyllis is survived by daughter Denise (Dee) Clark and son-in-law Robert (Bobby) Clark, of Ormond Beach, Florida. 2 granddaughters April Bower and Heidi (Alan) Strange 4 great grandchildren Brittany T Ratliff, Hayden M Stange, Sydney (Sydda) Strange and Keaton Strange, all in Colorado. Her brother Donald (Shirley) Greive, Sister Peggy (Steve) Klepper, Sister-in-Laws Rosemary Greive and Jackie Greive along with many Nieces, and Nephews.
A funeral service for immediate family members will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Monday, September 25, 2023 inside the Chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555. At the conclusion of this ceremony, family will recess to adjacent Memorial Gardens Cemetery where Phyllis will be laid to rest alongside her husband Denny at their Estate located in the Meditation Garden.
The family will have a Memorial Celebration of her life in Indiana and will announce further details at a later date.
