Phyllis N. Picking, 84, of N. Fort Myers, FL, died at Lee Memorial Hospital in Fort Myers, January 8, 2017. Crypt side services will be held 10:00 AM Thursday, January 12, 2017 at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens. Memorials: Shriner’s Children’s Hospital. Phyllis was born April 10, 1932 in Waynesboro, PA, the daughter of Paul and Mabel (Hyssong) Newcomer. She married Ralph Picking on August 20, 1955 in Pennsylvania. She attended McGregor Baptist Church and loved spending time with her family. Surviving are her husband of 60 years, Ralph Picking; and her children, Ralph Anthony “Tony” Picking of Mebane, NC and Robbin Picking of Fort Myers, FL. The Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of Phyllis.
