Ralph Byrd Conner, 88, of Lehigh Acres, Florida passed away on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at Hope Hospice in Lehigh Acres, Florida.?á Mr. Conner was born in Mayfield, Kentucky on April 20, 1923 to Walter Henry Conner and Gladys Christine Byrd Conner. Ralph was a retired accountant and had also been employed by the IRS.?á He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged, he also received a Presidential Citation.?á He was an active member of the Lehigh Acres Church of Christ in Buckingham.?á Ralph was devoted to his family and his extended church family.?á He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Dolores Conner of Lehigh Acres, FL; his children, Dennis W. (Annette) Conner of Ft. Myers, FL, Linda S. (Micheal) Edwards of Lehigh Acres, FL, Stephan J. (Annette) Kendall of Ft. Myers, FL and Priscilla Wahl of Lehigh Acres, FL; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; his brothers, Dick (Marge) Conner of Mayfield.KY and Jerry (Carolyn) Conner of Huntsville, AL; his sisters, Linda Butterworth of Montgomery, AL and Rebecca (Louie) Boyd of Athens, GA.?á Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Jody Davis, Minister?áof the Lehigh Acres Church of Christ will officiate.
