Ralph Joseph Iorlano's Obituary
Ralph Joseph Iorlano, 80, born February 5, 1935 in Brooklyn, NY, passed away in Fort Myers, Florida on June 5, 2015. Ralph retired from General Dynamics, Electric Boat Division, in 1991 and was employed both in the Groton and Quonset Divisions. Following his retirement, Ralph enjoyed helping his son at his business, Midway Pizza, and was an avid baseball fan for his entire life; especially of the Boston Red Sox and Brooklyn Dodgers in his younger years. He is preceded in death by his father (Joseph), mother (Margaret), sister (Roseanna Sanchi), brother (Frank), and daughter (Wendy Marie). Ralph is survived by his loving wife of 60 years (Shirley Elaine Horn Iorlano); his son (Joseph F. “Joe”) and wife (Jennifer); his daughters (Linda Honeysette) and her husband (Wade) and Cindy Iorlano and her boyfriend (Michael Tucker); three grandchildren (Jadene Leone, Jered Buck and Alyssa Iorlano); and one great grandchild (Talia Tetlow). Ralph also left behind many friends who loved him for his self-sacrificing and joking nature and will be missed by all who knew him. A memorial service will be held at a later date to be announced in his honor at the North Stonington Bible Church. Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home is serving the family.
