Ralph F. Tincher's Obituary
Ralph F. Tincher, age 93, passed away peacefully on May 17, 2026, in Fort Myers, Florida. Born on February 19, 1933, in Hamilton, Ohio, he was the beloved son of the late James H. Tincher and Mary H. Hays.
Ralph was raised in Hamilton, where he attended local schools and graduated from the area high school. It was during his youth that he met the love of his life, Shirley. Their devotion to one another began in high school, but Ralph chose to first honor his commitment to serve his country before marrying. After graduating, he enlisted in the United States Army, serving proudly in Italy. Upon his return home, he and Shirley were married, beginning a remarkable 71-year marriage filled with love, partnership, and shared dedication.
A man of exceptional work ethic and drive, Ralph, along with his two eldest sons, founded their own construction business, building a reputation for excellence and reliability. In 1979, he relocated his family and business to Florida, settling in Bonita Springs.
He retired in 1994 to Jamaica Bay, where he remained active and engaged, never slowing his pace nor losing his sense of purpose. In retirement, Ralph and Shirley embraced their love of travel, often spending summers in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, and winters in Florida. One of their most cherished adventures was a return trip to Italy, where Ralph proudly shared with Shirley the places he had served during his military years.
Ralph was a devoted family man and took great pride in his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley; his children, Terry (Mimi), James (Pam), and Tony (Lori), all of Florida; and his cherished grandchildren: Christian (Adriana), Kate, Courtney (Steve), Austin (Stevie), Gus (Meghan), Louie (Danielle), Ben, Andy (Sisely), Jamie (Mara), and Samantha. He was also a proud great-grandfather to 14 great-grandchildren.
Ralph will be remembered not only for his strong work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit, but for his kindness, loyalty, and the many friendships he cultivated throughout his life. His legacy lives on through his family, his work, and the countless lives he touched.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
